I live in what I call "the land of perpetual sunshine". Our winter consists of a few weeks with highs in the 40's and 50's and a few weeks of below 70 and then it is 75 plus and wham....summer 110degrees
The window of opportunity to wear a wool suit is limited greatly and most residents don't own a single one. But I lived in snowy regions for seven years from 2005 to 2012 and what kept me going was SHOPPING....... sweaters, coats and wool suits and pants. What I am trying to explain is that I have a small wool section in my closet.
I'm wearing a black and white tweed suit with a faux fur collar (not sure what animal this is supposed to be)
The short fitted jacket with wide notched lapel and one button closure is undeniably stylish. A perfect suit for those colder days .
The removable faux fur collar frames the white turtle neck.... a perfectly understated choice.
The simple lines of the pencil skirt with the back slit has endless versatility as a stand alone piece as well.
The stack heel boots are a must to complete the look. These boots will never see snow or slush or puddles of rain!
We very seldom wear out a pair of boots here in the desert!
And for sure they don't need to be water proofed.
So I am off to church on this cloudy day.
Def: tweed n.
