Throughout history there has always been a generational fashion gap.
What may be trending for one generation will not be understood by their Grandmothers or even Mothers.
I remember my Mom's concern (disappointment) when she found that I had a skimpy bikini bathing suit, hot pants and mini skirts. (1970)
I remember my Mom telling me that when she was a teenager, she had her hair "bobbed" (short haircut 1920's) and her Grandmother thought she had become a reckless woman!
Today is no exception.
I present to you FIVE fashion trends of today that would NOT be understood or accepted by our grandmothers!
1. HOLY JEANS
(and I don't mean it in a religious way)
"Why on earth," Grandma would say, "would you want to wear worn out jeans?"
2. OVERSIZED SWEATERS
"Oh my," Grandma would ask, "didn't they have your size?"

3. SANDAL BOOTS
"Don't we wear boots to keep our feet dry?" Grandma would ask. "Why would you want holes in them?"

4. BARE SHOULDER SWEATERS
"You're going to freeze your behind off, wearing that sweater," Grandma exclaimed!

5. TIGHT FITTING CLOTHING
"What if you need to put something in your pocket?" asked Grandma.

"What will the boys think?" she said shaking her head
